Can I get my Blagdon pump serviced?

To meet safety legislation, the motors on all Blagdon pond pumps are sealed in resin and as such are not serviceable in any way. The most maintenance that can be done on Blagdon pumps is to take them apart, clean them and replace the impellor (available from aquatic centres) which is the only major moving part.

To clean, remove any large debris, soak all the parts in a bucket of Blagdon Pond Pump Cleaner (available from most aquatic /garden centres) for a few hours, rinse well, reassemble and return to the pond. This will remove limescale and general debris that builds up in pond pumps and return the pump to good working order. This should be done at least once a year.
